"The Midwinter Rep is an ambitious, unique, and groundbreaking endeavor in Twin Cities theatre. The company will perform Shakespeare's Richard III and an original adaptation of Victor Hugo's The Hunchback of Notre Dame in alternating repertory (Richard will perform Fridays, Sundays, and Wednesdays, while Hunchback will perform Saturdays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays). On Monday nights Cromulent will host a play reading series, featuring three new and locally written plays. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday performances are free to the public. Thursday through Sunday ticket prices are a reasonable $12-$15. This is a bold, unprecedented, and socially significant initiative. In a town where the average ticket price is $40.00, the Cromulent Shakespeare Company seeks to offer performances of the highest quality to anyone and everyone who wishes to share in the powerful experience of live theatre. In addition to choosing a performance space that is wheelchair-accessible, Cromulent is working to acquire an ASL (American Sign Language) interpreter, Braille programs, and Audio- Description devices to accommodate vision-impaired and hearing-impaired persons."
