Ongoing: Think of Jane Austen as prim and demure? Take in Cromulent Shakespeare Company's "Sense and Sensibility." Bethany Ford's direction captures the sharp wit of the original without losing its compassion. As the two sisters, Ariel Pinkerton and Erin Busby could hardly be better, or better-matched. Pinkerton's reserved Elinor can convey depth of feeling in a single glance. Busby's overemotional Marianne is extravagant, but movingly real. The entire cast treats the formal, stylized language with aplomb. A winning effort. (8 p.m. Fri.-Sat. and April 14 & 24, 2 p.m. Sun. Ends April 26. The Black Forest Inn, 1 East 26th St., Mpls. $15. 612-326-3289.)
